Nintendo's Q1 Fiscal Report: A Milestone Launch with Million-Selling Favorites

Nintendo has recently released its financial data for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, offering detailed insights into the performance of its latest console during the crucial early stages after launch. The report highlights the strong market reception of one of its key launch games.

The latest figures show that the racing title for the new console has achieved the status of a million-selling game well before the end of June. The launch was bolstered by initially pairing the game with the majority of the consoles sold, while a significant number of players also opted to purchase the physical cartridge version. In total, the game reached 5.63 million units during its first month, reinforcing its dominant position in the lineup.

Additional data from the financial report revealed that the console managed total software sales amounting to 8.67 million copies as of 30 June. This total includes units from several other titles besides the racing game, with roughly 3.04 million copies for titles such as the following:
